Jenna is the Managing Partner of Apollo Africa with over 15 years’ experience developing and advising on industrial scale energy and water projects in South African and Australia.

Jenna has acted as lead technical advisor to a range of government bodies such as the governments of Australia, South Africa and Botswana, and blue-chip clients such as Sasol, Anglo, Sappi, SAB and South32.

She has deep domain expertise in gasification, gas to power, anaerobic digestion, waste to energy, renewable energy, water treatment, hydrogen, coal processing and liquid fuels technologies.

Jenna’s core competencies include: Feasibility Studies, Project Development, Financial Analysis, Business Case Preparation, Engineering Design, Process Optimisation, Carbon and Energy management and Energy Procurement.

Ed Cameron

Ed is a seasoned business leader and board director with demonstrated ability to guide diverse teams towards resolving complex strategic issues.

Ed was employed by Sasol for 33 years and during his tenure led a number of major Sasol businesses, projects and programmes. He has extensive business development experience in the global energy sector in South Africa, Mozambique, Iran, Qatar, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, China, the USA and India. Over the last decade, Ed has headed up as Senior VP: Sasol International Energy, Sasol’s Clean Fuels & Octane Programme and Sasol’s Gas Sourcing & Operations business.

Dérick is a practicing technology lawyer by profession and has over two decades of experience in commercialising technology assets. 

His practice specifically focuses on helping entrepreneurs create value through innovation, with expertise in technology, intellectual property and commercial law.

Dérick is a member of the Patent and Technology Licensing Committee of the esteemed Licensing Executives Society International.  He is also a venture partner at Seed South Capital, a venture capital fund aimed at empowering entrepreneurs and investors with strategic investments to help them scale.

David currently fulfils the role of business advisor to Apollo Africa and Dragonfly Aerospace. He is experienced in developing companies across Europe and South Africa and serving on numerous company boards.

David previously held the role of group CEO of Space Commercial Services including Chairman of the board for one of the group companies. His career experience was gained in a few industries. These include the nuclear industry, where he designed the first safety system for the AEC delivering nuclear training simulators in France; 15 years in the aerospace industry, where he held the position of Chief System Engineer for the first aerospace company in South Africa this included a full launch and Earth Observation satellite system; and 13 years in the European telecommunications industry, where he held the position of COO and CTO involved in the development of two new business units for Dimension Data.
